the CLIENT
Gumdrop LTD was founded in 2009 in the United Kingdom by Anna Bullus, Gumdrop LTD has developed a unique solution to a worldwide problem; they have successfully found a way to recycle gum, the second most common form of litter, into a revolutionary new polymer that can be used to make various products in the plastic and rubber industry. The new plastic is trademarked GUM-TEC.
the PROCESS
The store was created to inspire people to think outside the box and provide a whimsical, playful environment to store patrons. The Gumdrop campaign of, ‘What will your gum become?’ served as the main inspiration when designing the space. The product was kept pink in order for people to connect them with the upcycling and recycling process used in the manufacturing process. The project was rendered using AutoCad, Sketchup, Kerykthea, and Photoshop.
